Juventus Challenges Inter: Who Is Luis Henrique, the Marseille Winger on Both Clubs’ Radar?

With the summer transfer window approaching, major European clubs are already moving to secure their top targets. Inter Milan have been working for months to sign Luis Henrique, the talented Brazilian winger from Marseille, and negotiations are now at an advanced stage. However, Juventus has entered the fray, hoping to disrupt Inter’s plans and possibly spark a bidding war for the player.

Juventus Enters the Race for Luis Henrique

Ilbianconero report how Juventus had shown interest in Luis Henrique as early as last summer and has now reignited its pursuit, joining at least two English clubs in monitoring the situation. Marseille, aware of the growing interest, hopes that this competition will drive up the price for their in-demand star.

Inter, meanwhile, remain confident. The Nerazzurri have already reached a verbal agreement with Henrique on personal terms, offering a five-year contract worth around €2 million per season. Their latest proposal to Marseille is reportedly €25 million, plus bonuses, but this still falls short of the French club’s €30–35 million valuation. The gap between the clubs’ positions means Marseille is open to hearing from other suitors, keeping the door open for Juventus to make a move

Who Is Luis Henrique?

Luis Henrique Tomaz de Lima, born in 2001, is a versatile Brazilian winger who has quickly become one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe. He began his career in the youth ranks of Botafogo, one of Brazil’s most prestigious clubs, making his first-team debut in 2020. He moved to Marseille in 2021, then briefly returned to Botafogo on loan before establishing himself in the French top flight.

This season, under coach Roberto De Zerbi, Henrique has taken a major step forward. He’s primarily a left winger but is comfortable playing deeper or on the opposite flank. Known for his speed, dribbling, and creativity, Henrique is effective both as a goal scorer and a provider. In the current Ligue 1 campaign, he has scored 7 goals and provided 8 assists in 31 appearances, demonstrating his readiness for a bigger stage.

Playing Style and Strengths

Henrique’s game is defined by his explosive pace and technical ability. He excels at taking on defenders, creating scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates, and is also capable of striking from distance. His adaptability means he can be used in various attacking roles, making him a valuable asset for any top club.
