Milan Make Bold Move for Vlahovic: Direct Talks with Juventus

AC Milan are poised to make a major statement in the transfer market, targeting a top-tier striker to strengthen their attacking lineup. With Igli Tare at the helm of the club’s sporting strategy, the goal is clear: deliver an elite forward to coach Massimiliano Allegri, not just as a backup, but as a central figure who can partner or rotate with Santi Gimenez.

The club are preparing for significant changes up front. Tammy Abraham is set to return to Roma, Luka Jovic will not renew his contract, and the promising youngster Francesco Camarda is likely to be loaned out to gain experience and playing time. As a result, Milan is in search of a striker with proven quality and experience.

Milan Initiates Contact for Vlahovic

Calciomercato report (as quoted by IlBianconero) how last Thursday, Milan took the first step by reaching out directly to Juventus to inquire about the availability of Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian forward has emerged as the top target for Milan’s new management, who see him as the ideal candidate to lead their attack. Vlahovic would reunite with Allegri, under whom he previously scored 41 goals in 99 appearances for Juventus.

Financially, the deal is within reach. Vlahovic’s current book value for Juventus stands at around 20 million euros, and an offer of 30 million could persuade the Turin club to consider a sale. The main obstacle is Vlahovic’s salary, as he currently earns about 12 million euros per year. Milan are prepared to offer a five-year contract worth 7 million per season, but the final decision rests with the player.

Retegui Remains a Concrete Alternative

While Vlahovic is the primary focus, Milan are also keeping a close eye on Mateo Retegui, who is also of interest to Juventus. Last week, Retegui’s agents visited Milan’s headquarters, initially to discuss the transfer of Pellegrino to Boca Juniors, but talks also covered the Atalanta striker’s future. Both Tare and Allegri are admirers of Retegui, but Atalanta’s asking price of at least 50 million euros is a significant hurdle. However, this fee could become manageable if Milan secures major outgoing transfers.
