Matteo Moretto: ‘Kenan Yildiz To Renew Juventus Contract, Club Linked with Hjulmand’

Juventus have made headlines in the summer transfer window with the imminent arrival of Canadian striker Jonathan David, marking their first major signing of the season. Transfer journalist Matteo Moretto reports that after a night of intense negotiations, the deal was finalized in the early hours, with David now set to travel to Turin for his medical and to sign a long-term contract. The forward joins as a free agent after his contract with Lille expired, and his arrival is seen as a key move to strengthen Juventus’ attack.

The club’s management shifted their focus to David immediately after a recent match against Real Madrid, swiftly wrapping up the economic details of the agreement. David’s commitment to Juventus is evident, as he already has a flight booked to Italy to complete the final steps of the transfer.

While David’s signing is a major coup, Juventus are also managing other important squad matters. Talks are progressing positively for the contract renewal of young talent Kenan Yildiz. Despite interest from several major English clubs, Yildiz has shown unwavering determination to remain with Juventus, a stance that has impressed the club and paved the way for his contract extension.

In midfield, Juventus are preparing for possible changes. Douglas Luiz has been informed that the club is open to offers for him and has been encouraged to find a new solution. Should Luiz depart, Juventus have already identified Morten Hjulmand, currently at Sporting CP, as a potential replacement. Hjulmand, formerly of Lecce, is under contract until 2028 and would command a significant transfer fee, making the operation complex but not impossible.
