Juventus Targets Right-Back Reinforcement: Comolli’s Shortlist Revealed

With Alberto Costa close to joining Sporting and Timothy Weah set for a move to Marseille, Juventus face a pressing need to reinforce the right flank. The departures would leave coach Igor Tudor without natural options on the right, a situation he is eager to resolve before the squad’s training camp in Herzogenaurach. Sporting director Damien Comolli is actively working to secure at least one, and possibly two, new arrivals for the position.

The Right-Back Options on Juventus’ Radar

IlBianconero report that Juventus have compiled a shortlist of candidates to fill the right-back void:

  • Nuno Tavares: Currently with Lazio, Tavares is primarily a left-sided player. If signed, Andrea Cambiaso would shift to the right. However, Lazio is reluctant to sell unless a significant offer—around €35 million—is made.

  • Dodo: The Fiorentina full-back is in ongoing contract talks with his club, making negotiations complicated for Juventus at this stage.

  • Marc Pubill: The Spanish right-back from Almeria has attracted interest from both Milan and Wolverhampton. Juventus would need to invest approximately €15 million to secure his services.

  • Josha Vagnoman: The Stuttgart defender has impressed in the Champions League, contributing a goal and an assist this season. His versatility allows him to play on either flank, and his contract expires in 2026.

  • Daniel Munoz: Playing for Crystal Palace, Munoz brings more experience than the other targets, turning 30 in May. He had a strong season in the Premier League, recording four goals and six assists, but would likely command a higher transfer fee due to his established profile.
