Tacchinardi: “If Juventus Sign Tonali, They Win the Scudetto”

Alessio Tacchinardi, former Juventus midfielder, shared his thoughts during an appearance on Tiki Tacco for Il Bianconero’s YouTube channel. From his emotional entry into the Juventus Hall of Fame to his analysis of the current team and their chances against Inter, Tacchinardi spoke openly about the past, present, and potential future of the Bianconeri.

“An Emotion and a Pride” – The Hall of Fame Honour

Tacchinardi described the special feeling of being inducted into the Juventus Hall of Fame:

“Emotion and pride. When I used to go and watch Juve with my father, I remember the sacrifices he made to find the money for tickets. I was in love with Juve and with Platini. I was aware of my father’s efforts when he took me to the old Comunale, which later became the first stadium where I trained. When the letter arrived, I felt great joy and emotion. This is history; it remains forever. I thank Juve because these things are special for the fans, who identify with those of us who fought and sweated for this shirt with dignity and attachment.”

He also praised the direction the club is taking:

“I have already said I had very positive vibes about this new management. I saw focus, decency, and respect for the players who made the history of this club. Juventus is taking back the helm. I saw seriousness and a desire to rediscover the old values.”

Juve-Inter Showdown

Looking ahead to the Derby d’Italia, Tacchinardi underlined the intensity of the fixture:

“I am confident, and I hope to see a bold Juventus, pushed on by a fiery stadium. Inter are a great team, but Juve are in a good moment to face a historic rival. This is a different kind of match, it drains you mentally. The rivalry has always been fierce, full of tension. It gives you energy, it’s tough, great to play, but even the day before, you felt it. The atmosphere is unique.”

On Inter’s new coach Cristian Chivu, Tacchinardi was sceptical:

“Chivu at Parma didn’t do very well. He kept them up on the last day playing on the counter. He has managed 13 games in Serie A – I don’t think he has a clear idea of his football yet. Coaches like Gasperini, Tudor, Gattuso have far more experience. Inter have many ball players but don’t play at very high intensity. He is completely different from Inzaghi, who wanted a more dynamic and vertical coach. Either Chivu makes this team his own with his ideas, or he’s just playing with Inzaghi’s team. Juventus have the chance to hurt them because they already have a clear identity.”

“The Third Shirt is Spectacular”

Tacchinardi also praised Juventus’ new third kit:

“Beautiful, a stroke of genius. Juventus are making very few mistakes even on these fronts. The shirt is truly beautiful. Juventus is a global brand, they need people with personality, and I’ve seen how well those at the club are working. A spectacular shirt, really cool.”

Tonali the Key to the Scudetto

Pressed on potential transfers, Tacchinardi was emphatic about Sandro Tonali:

“I had the chance to watch Italy in Bergamo: seeing Tonali and imagining him alongside Thuram… I would sign immediately that Juventus would win the Scudetto. If Juve sign Tonali now, they win the Scudetto.”

David or Vlahovic?

Finally, Tacchinardi gave his view on the attacking options:

“I think Vlahovic can contribute in a game that is in progress. The match will be long and intense. If David is fit, I don’t think Igor will change his mind, especially against Inter. Vlahovic seems focused on Juve – today he is a Juventus player.”
