Prandelli: “Vlahovic Must Always Be a Starter”

Cesare Prandelli has offered his thoughts on Juventus’ recent struggles, urging patience with the team’s new forwards while insisting that Dusan Vlahovic must feature regularly from the start.

After two consecutive defeats and more than a month without a win, Juventus are facing growing doubts under Igor Tudor. The team’s rhythm has slowed, and confidence appears shaken ahead of another crucial run of matches.

Speaking about the club’s attacking issues, the former Italy manager was clear about the Serb’s importance when speaking with La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Vlahovic must always be a starter,” Prandelli stated. “He is the kind of striker who needs continuity to perform at his best. When he feels trusted and is on the pitch from the beginning, he can make a real difference.”

Prandelli also commented on the adaptation process of Loïs Openda and Jonathan David, Juventus’ newer attacking options. “Players coming from foreign leagues always need time,” he said. “Both Openda and David have the right qualities, but adapting to a new environment, a new style of play, and a new level of tactical discipline doesn’t happen overnight. They just need a bit of time.”

Despite acknowledging Juventus’ offensive difficulties, Prandelli remains confident in the squad’s potential. “Juventus are going through a complicated phase, but they have a solid base. If they find continuity and manage to get their key players in rhythm again, they’ll return to competing at the top,” he concluded.
