Following the dismissal of Igor Tudor, Juventus are exploring several high-profile options to fill the vacant head coach position. The club, mired in a poor run of form — eight games without a win, three consecutive defeats, and no goals in four matches — has opted for a swift managerial change in an effort to stabilise the season.
Luciano Spalletti
IlBianconero report that the first and most obvious name on Juventus’s shortlist is Luciano Spalletti. The former national team coach is currently out of contract and regarded as the leading candidate for the role. A figure of experience and tactical acumen, Spalletti remains best known for guiding Napoli to the Serie A title two seasons ago. His availability and proven record at top clubs make him an attractive proposition for the Bianconeri hierarchy.
Roberto Mancini
Also under serious consideration is Roberto Mancini. The former Italy and Manchester City boss has been without a club for a year since leaving his post with Saudi Arabia’s national team. Despite turning down an offer from Nottingham Forest, Mancini is said to be open to new challenges at the highest level. His extensive experience and winning pedigree stand out, though his absence from club football — dating back to his time at Zenit in 2017–18 — raises questions about readiness for an immediate return.
Raffaele Palladino
A younger and more flexible option is Raffaele Palladino. Recently freed from his brief contractual tie with Fiorentina, Palladino shares a strong professional relationship with Juventus’s technical director, François Modesto, forged during their successful stint together at Monza. His familiarity with modern tactical trends and willingness to serve as an interim or “bridge” coach until summer could make him a pragmatic short-term choice.
Thiago Motta
Adding intrigue to the mix is the possibility of a surprising return for Thiago Motta. Still under contract with Juventus until June 2027, Motta represents a cost-effective solution should the club wish to avoid paying another manager. However, the internal tensions that marked the end of his previous spell could complicate any reunion. Given the current need for unity and calm within the squad, a comeback seems unlikely — but not entirely out of the question.
