Pier Donato Vercellone Joins Juventus as Chief Communications Officer

Juventus continue to reshape their management structure with the addition of Pier Donato Vercellone, who will become the club’s new Chief Communications Officer. The appointment, already communicated internally at Continassa, is expected to be made official in the coming weeks.

IlBianconero report how the Turin club has been undergoing significant changes since the arrival of Damien Comolli as General Director, who effectively replaced Cristiano Giuntoli. Comolli’s leadership has marked the beginning of an organisational shift within Juventus, with adjustments not only in the sporting area but also across marketing and commercial operations.

While the long-awaited appointment of the new sporting director, Peter Silverstone, captures attention, Vercellone’s arrival adds another experienced figure to the club’s hierarchy.

A Leader in Sports and Corporate Communication

Pier Donato Vercellone brings with him a wealth of experience from both the corporate and sports industries. From September 2020 to March 2025, he served as Head of Communications at AC Milan, where he directed the club’s communication strategies through multiple seasons of transformation.

Earlier in his career, Vercellone worked at Nike, where he was tasked with establishing the brand’s communication office in Italy before taking on the role of Head of Communications for Europe. He also held senior communication positions at Telecom Italia and later became Central Director for Communication and Major Events for the Municipality of Milan. Additionally, he worked with the Sisal Group as Communication Director.

After five years at Milan, Vercellone now embarks on a fresh challenge in Turin, continuing his career in top-level football.

His Role at Juventus

As Chief Communications Officer, Vercellone will oversee Juventus’ overall communication strategy, strengthening the club’s image and managing media relations at national and international levels. He will work closely with Riccardo Coli, Juventus’ current Head of Communication, to align messaging across all platforms and ensure consistency in the club’s public presence.
