Juventus are preparing to challenge Inter Milan once again, this time not on the pitch but in the transfer market, with both clubs targeting promising young centre-backs currently playing in Serie A. According to reports from IlBianconero, the Bianconeri have set their sights on two defenders who also feature on Inter’s radar: Tarik Muharemovic and Tiago Gabriel.
Muharemovic: Sassuolo’s Bosnian Talent
Born in 2003, Tarik Muharemovic recently extended his contract with Sassuolo until 2031. The Neroverdi invested €3 million last summer to make his move from Juventus permanent, but the Turin club retained a substantial 50 per cent sell-on clause. That arrangement would allow Juventus to re-sign the Bosnian defender at a significantly lower cost than any rival suitor, including Inter.
Tiago Gabriel Impresses Against Juventus
Juventus scouts were also in attendance during Lecce’s recent away victory in Florence, where they closely followed Portuguese defender Tiago Gabriel, born in 2004. The youngster reportedly earned high marks for his performance, particularly in managing a tough opponent like Moise Kean, the Italy international striker.
Disasi Offered to Juventus
Meanwhile, intermediaries have offered Juventus the opportunity to sign French defender Axel Disasi from Chelsea. The 27-year-old, formerly of AS Monaco, could provide experienced cover in defence should the club opt for a more established addition alongside its pursuit of young talents.
