Vlahovic’s Muscle Concern with Serbia: Exam Results and His Chances for Fiorentina-Juve

Start

Juventus face another concern in their attacking department after Dusan Vlahovic suffered a muscular issue while on international duty with Serbia. Tuttosport report that the striker picked up an overload to his adductor muscle, forcing him to stop training and undergo initial medical assessments.

Early indications suggest it is a minor problem. The number nine is expected to rest for a few days before resuming training with his national team. Juventus, therefore, remain optimistic about having him available for their first match after the international break — the away clash against Fiorentina next Saturday at 18:00 at the Artemio Franchi.

Vlahovic’s Serbia have already been eliminated from the playoff race, so the priority now is to avoid any unnecessary risks. The striker will be given time to recover fully and return to fitness ahead of Juventus’ key league commitments.

Meanwhile, Serbia coach Paunovic confirmed that Vlahovic is a doubt for their upcoming fixture against Latvia. “He finished the match against England feeling discomfort and remains our main question mark for tomorrow,” the coach explained. Torino midfielder Ivan Ilic has also been ruled out after suffering a knee ligament sprain during the same match at Wembley.

Serbia’s 2–0 defeat to Thomas Tuchel’s England effectively ended their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup playoffs. Vlahovic started the game and remained on the pitch for the full ninety minutes, which may have contributed to his muscular fatigue.
