There’s finally good news for Juventus on the injury front — Arkadiusz Milik has returned to group training at Continassa after an extended spell on the sidelines. Calciomercato report that the Polish striker has taken the first steps toward a long-awaited comeback, bringing some relief to a Bianconeri attack still feeling the absence of Dusan Vlahović.
A Gruelling Recovery
Milik has been out of action for 553 days, last featuring on 25 May 2024 in Juventus–Monza. His long ordeal began with a meniscus injury sustained in June 2025, which required surgery and ruled him out of the European Championship. Recovery proved complicated, as the former Napoli and Ajax forward suffered recurring muscle issues and microfractures caused by overexertion.
As if that weren’t enough, he then endured another setback during pre-season, injuring his right tibia in the gym. The series of misfortunes left him out of contention for nearly a season and a half — a frustrating ordeal for a player who was once a key attacking option under various Juventus managers.
The First Step Forward
Now, the 31-year-old has finally rejoined full training sessions, taking part in portions of team drills and limited-contact exercises with his teammates. Having received medical clearance on 11 December, Milik’s aim is to gradually rebuild fitness and confidence without rushing a return date. Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti will monitor his progress closely over the coming weeks.
A Future Still Uncertain
While Milik’s return to the training pitch offers a glimmer of hope, his long-term future at Juventus remains uncertain. During his last contract renewal, the striker agreed to a significant pay cut and an extension structured primarily to help the club’s financial balance.
Given his prolonged absence — now stretching over 18 months — there’s no fixed timeline for his competitive comeback. For now, the focus is on small victories: easing back into rhythm, regaining match sharpness, and staying injury-free. One thing is clear — Milik’s determination to fight for another chance in black and white has never been stronger.
