Kaio Jorge is thriving in Brazil. The former Juventus striker, now starring for Cruzeiro, has rediscovered his best form with 21 goals and 8 assists in 33 league matches — a level of performance far removed from his disappointing spell in Turin. After managing only 113 minutes in Serie A, the 2002-born forward looked destined to fade from European football’s radar. Now, however, he may bring Juventus a welcome financial bonus.
Cruzeiro Set Kaio Jorge’s Value
According to reports from Brazil, Flamengo are among the clubs showing interest in the Cruzeiro forward. Though no official bid has yet been made, the Rio de Janeiro side are reportedly ready to offer around €30 million — matching the sum proposed by Zenit Saint Petersburg last January. Cruzeiro, however, have no intention of selling easily. The club have made it clear that Kaio Jorge’s valuation stands at €50 million, stressing that they are under no financial pressure and wish to honour their promise to coach Tite to keep the player. The young striker remains under contract until 2029.
Juventus’ Sell-On Clause
Should a major offer arrive, Juventus would have every reason to celebrate from afar. When the Bianconeri sold Kaio Jorge to Cruzeiro, they included a 30% sell-on clause in the deal. That means a €50 million transfer would see the Turin club earn approximately €15 million — a tidy profit for a player who rarely featured in their colours.
