Gonzalo García

Juventus Eye Real Madrid’s Gonzalo García as Backup for Yıldız

Juventus are already planning their next moves ahead of the January transfer window, with the club considering reinforcements in several key areas. While the long-term dream remains a summer move for Sandro Tonali, the Bianconeri are also working quietly on immediate additions to strengthen Luciano Spalletti’s squad.

Among the various situations under evaluation — including Davide Frattesi for midfield and new goalkeeper options such as Alessio Leali and Christos Mandas as Mattia Perin edges closer to an exit — Juventus are also exploring the attacking market. The objective is to find a versatile forward who can serve as an alternative to Kenan Yıldız, their standout performer in attack this season.

Gonzalo García Option under Consideration

According to reports from Sky, Juventus have made initial enquiries for Real Madrid forward Gonzalo García. The 21-year-old Spaniard, born in 2004, has featured 17 times across La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey this season but is yet to find the net. Despite limited minutes, his talent remains well-regarded, and Juventus see him as an intriguing prospect who could support Yıldız or even grow into a more prominent attacking role in the future.

García also has a small piece of history against the Bianconeri — he scored against them last summer at the FIFA Club World Cup, where Real Madrid triumphed over Juventus, then managed by Igor Tudor. That goal, it seems, left a lasting impression on Juventus’ scouting department.

At this stage, no formal negotiations have taken place, but García remains on the club’s radar as a potential addition in January. For now, the idea is exploratory, yet it underlines Juventus’ intention to build depth and versatility across the pitch as Spalletti’s project continues to take shape.
