Serie A | Cagliari 1-0 Juventus: Player Ratings

Juventus were left to rue their wasted opportunities after suffering a stunning 1-0 loss to Cagliari, despite having over 70% possession throughout the match.

Juventus

Perin: He was only called into action on one occasion, and it was the one occasion that needed his best reaction. Simply had to do better on the Cagliari free-kick.. 5.0/10

Kalulu: Mazzitelli seemed to have the beating of him at times and while he was decent enough at the back, he needed to do better overall. 5.5/10

Bremer: Not at his absolute best, but that was only to be expected as he’s still working his way back. Thankfully, what mistakes he made were few and minor. 6.0/10

Kelly: Did everything he could to try and draw Juve level while also being almost foot perfect at the back. 6.5/10

Cambiaso: A better showing than in recent weeks, including forcing a good save from Caprile. 6.0/10

Koopmeiners: Won some interceptions and played a few decent passes, but he was lacklustre, slow at times and offered nothing of note. Average. 5.0/10

Locatelli: Helped prevent Cagliari counters and tried his best to thread together attacking chances for the forwards. 6.0/10

Mckennie: Won the ball back a few times and while he had his customary pace, he lacked an end product that Juve desperately needed. 5.5/10

Miretti: Started strongly, forced a save from Caprile, tried to carve open the Cagliari defence, but just lacked that incisive moment. 6.0/10

⭐ Yildiz: At the heart of everything good that Juve did on the night – Constantly trying to cut through the stubborn Cagliari back line – Forced a save, shot just wide a couple of times. 6.5/10

David: Really struggled to impose himself against a very physical and tall Cagliari defence. Not entirely his fault as he put in plenty of hard work, but it never looked likely to pay off. 5.0/10

Spalletti: Not sure that he could do much more than he did. The starting XI was the strongest, and the possession stats back-up Juve’s dominance. Everything looked like the Juve of previous weeks, with the exception of the opposition, who made it difficult to carve clear chances. 6.0/10
