Juventus Weigh Bremer Options as Conceição and Gatti Return Ahead of Cagliari Trip

Luciano Spalletti has two key players back at his disposal ahead of Juventus’ trip to Cagliari — Francisco Conceição and Federico Gatti have both recovered from their injuries and rejoined full training. However, despite the welcome returns, the Bianconeri manager is not expected to make major changes to the side that cruised past Cremonese earlier this week.

Tuttosport report that Kenan Yildiz, who missed part of training due to a mild flu, should also be available for selection, giving Spalletti a near full-strength squad to choose from.

Bremer Could Be Given a Rest

At the back, there are ongoing discussions over whether to rest Gleison Bremer. The Brazilian has played a considerable number of matches in recent weeks, and with a busy fixture list ahead, the technical staff are evaluating the timing of a potential rotation.

Even so, Gatti — having only just returned from injury — is more likely to start from the bench. That would see Bremer retain his spot alongside Pierre Kalulu, Lloyd Kelly and Andrea Cambiaso in a back line that has looked increasingly solid of late.

Conceição Set for Cautionary Use

In midfield, the partnership of Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram is expected to be confirmed, while the attacking trio behind the striker — Weston McKennie, Fabio Miretti and Yildiz — should remain unchanged, provided the Turkish youngster is cleared to play.

As for Conceição, Spalletti is likely to manage his return carefully. The Portuguese winger may be involved later in the game rather than from the start, with the emphasis on easing him back into competitive rhythm after his spell out.

ompetition Building Among the Squad

Several other players are eager to prove themselves after recently slipping down the pecking order. Teun Koopmeiners, Lois Openda and Edon Zhegrova are all pushing for involvement and could feature if Spalletti opts for rotation during the match.

More clarity will come later today when the Juventus head coach addresses the media in his pre-match press conference at the Allianz Stadium, scheduled for 4 p.m. local time.
