From Kolo Muani to Zirkzee: Juventus Step Up Final Sprint for a Striker

With just four days remaining before the transfer window closes, Juventus are still hunting for the elusive attacking reinforcement that Luciano Spalletti has been waiting for. The clock is ticking relentlessly, and the Bianconeri are working around the clock to pull off a late-market coup — a mission that is proving as complex as it is crucial.

Kolo Muani, the Main Target

IlBianconero report how Thursday was expected to bring a breakthrough in Juventus’ pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani’s return to Turin, but the deal remains frozen. Tottenham have once again held firm, with Thomas Frank unwilling to let the Frenchman go unless a suitable replacement is secured first.

Kolo Muani’s starting role in a key Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt was therefore anything but a coincidence. Juventus, undeterred by yet another setback, remain intent on pushing until the very end. The club hopes to capitalise on the player’s willingness to return to Italy, as they prepare one final assault in the closing days of the window.

Zirkzee as a Plan B

If the Kolo Muani pursuit fails to materialise, Juventus have already identified an alternative — Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch forward, now at Manchester United, has barely featured this season, collecting just 71 minutes of action in 2026. Neither the dismissal of Amorim nor Michael Carrick’s arrival has changed his standing at Old Trafford.

Juve’s approach would mirror the strategy planned for Kolo Muani: a loan deal until the end of the season, potentially including a purchase option based on specific conditions. The Turin club maintain excellent relations with Zirkzee’s representatives — the same group that oversaw Douglas Luiz’s move to Aston Villa — which could help accelerate talks as the market nears its end.

Duran on the Radar

Another name emerging in the background is Jhon Duran. The 22-year-old Fenerbahce striker, formerly of Aston Villa, has caught Juventus’ attention during recent visits by sporting director Giovanni Manna and football chief Giovanni Ottolini to Istanbul. Duran’s future at Fenerbahce remains uncertain, and the Turkish club may be open to letting him go, making him another viable candidate for Juve’s attacking shortlist.

The Benzema Temptation

And then, there’s the blockbuster possibility. Karim Benzema has reportedly fallen out with Al-Ittihad and has been left out of the Saudi club’s squad. Should he terminate his contract, the French veteran would instantly become one of the most alluring short-term options available — a dream scenario for any team in need of a proven goalscorer. Juventus, of course, are watching the situation closely.
