Paz, not to be confused with Nico Paz of Como, openly shared his aspirations: “My dream? To play for the national team and then to join Juventus.” This straightforward declaration highlights the prestige that Juventus still holds in the eyes of up-and-coming players.
The young defender, who has made 11 appearances for Sassuolo this season, spoke warmly of his current club while keeping his sights set on future possibilities. “I’ve felt great at Sassuolo since I was in the youth team. Even now, I’m very comfortable because the team has very important players who have competed at a high level. It’s an honor for me to train and play alongside them,” Paz explained. He added, “Now the personal challenge is to always maintain a high level because it’s not easy.”
Paz also expressed his admiration for his current coach, Fabio Grosso, who interestingly has a Juventus connection of his own as a former player. “It’s an honor to be guided by him because he’s someone who has won the World Cup and played football at the highest level. With him, I think I’ve improved much more in the technical aspects of the game,” Paz stated.
