Vlahovic set to say yes to Juventus: new contract close

There is growing optimism around Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus. The Serbian striker appears ready to commit his long-term future to the club, with discussions over a contract renewal now progressing positively.

After more than three months out, Vlahovic is expected to return to the squad for Juventus’ upcoming match against Udinese. He will start from the bench, as he continues to rebuild fitness and match rhythm. Yet this is an important phase for the striker — both on the pitch, as he aims to help the Bianconeri secure Champions League qualification, and off it, as his future takes shape.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report how, In recent months, clubs such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich have monitored Vlahovic’s situation, with both reportedly exploring his availability, particularly as they plan for a future beyond their current attacking options. However, no formal approaches followed, and crucially, Vlahovic has always prioritised Juventus. Within the Continassa headquarters, there has never been any doubt about the player’s intentions, with constant updates shared by his representatives confirming his wish to stay in Turin.

Negotiations for the renewal have already begun, with the first discussions involving Vlahovic’s father, Milos. Juventus are prepared to offer a salary worth around €6 million per season, potentially rising to €7 million including bonuses — bringing him in line with one of the club’s other key talents, Kenan Yildiz.

As for the contract duration, no final decision has been made. A relatively short extension, perhaps one or two years, remains a possible solution. Such a deal would provide flexibility for both sides: Juventus would retain one of their key forwards without committing to a long-term financial burden, while Vlahovic would have the chance to re-establish himself and prove his full worth, especially under the attacking system of Luciano Spalletti.

The atmosphere surrounding the Serbian has clearly improved in recent weeks. His commitment to the project is strong, and Juventus are satisfied with his attitude and recovery. All signs now point towards an agreement being reached soon — Vlahovic wants to stay, and Juventus are ready to make it happen.
