Thuram

Juventus, Latest from Continassa: How Is Khephren Thuram?

Juventus returned to training at Continassa today after two days off, as Luciano Spalletti’s side step up preparations for Saturday night’s crucial clash with Sassuolo. The match, scheduled for 20:45 at the Allianz Stadium, will be vital in the race for fourth place and Champions League qualification for the Bianconeri.

Focus on Thuram’s Condition

All eyes are on Khephren Thuram after the midfielder came off limping during the away win in Udine. The Frenchman was substituted in the fourth minute of the second half, clearly in some discomfort, to make way for Teun Koopmeiners. He felt a slight issue in his left ankle, an annoyance that is not considered serious but will still be closely monitored over the coming days.

In today’s session at Continassa, IlBianconero report that  Thuram followed an individual programme separate from the rest of the group. The aim is to manage the problem carefully, avoid unnecessary risks and assess his availability step by step in the build-up to the Sassuolo game.

The Rest of the Squad

Aside from Emil Holm, who is still recovering from injury, and Thuram, who was handled with caution, the rest of the squad trained regularly under Spalletti’s orders. The group worked with the focus firmly on Sassuolo and the importance of securing three points in a direct battle for Champions League football next season.

Barring any surprises in the coming days, Spalletti should have almost the entire squad at his disposal, with the medical staff keeping a close eye on Thuram’s progress ahead of the weekend.
