Juventus, Greenwood Back on the Radar for the Attack: Marseille Could Return for Zhegrova

All signs point in the same direction: Juventus look set to overhaul their attack ahead of next season, and while the club waits to understand whether Dusan Vlahovic will indeed sign a new deal – optimism is said to be growing, with talks expected to accelerate after Easter – the focus at Continassa is also on right-sided forwards with a profile similar to Kenan Yildiz. In this context, a familiar name has reappeared at the top of the club’s shortlist, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Greenwood’s Numbers

The player in question is Mason Greenwood, already pursued in the summer of 2024 by Cristiano Giuntoli before his move to Marseille. Should the French club fail to qualify for the Champions League, they could be forced to sacrifice the 24-year-old former Manchester United forward, who is enjoying a prolific season: 25 goals and 8 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 3,093 minutes on the pitch.

Price Tag and Limited Competition

Greenwood will not come cheap. His valuation is expected to start at no less than 50 million euros, not least because Manchester United are entitled to a significant percentage of any future resale. However, the competition for his signature may be less fierce than his performances would normally warrant. A return to England remains complicated due to the off-field issues from his past and the reaction they continue to provoke in the Premier League environment, which could make the Juventus option – a move he was already open to two summers ago – increasingly attractive.

Marseille Looking at Zhegrova Again?

Another factor playing in Juventus’ favour is their positive relationship with Marseille. According to the same reports, the French side could again turn their attention to Edon Zhegrova, whom they tried to sign last August before his transfer to Turin. A potential move for Greenwood might therefore intertwine with a renewed interest in the Kosovan winger, creating a scenario in which all parties could benefit. Further developments are expected in the coming weeks.
