Juventus and Tottenham in Talks Over Double Swap Deal Involving Bremer, David, Vicario and Udogie

A significant transfer axis is developing between Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side keen on two key bianconeri players and both clubs exploring a creative double swap arrangement that could suit all parties.

Bremer: Tottenham’s Number One Defensive Target

With Cristian Romero set to depart, Tottenham have identified Gleison Bremer as their top centre-back priority this summer. Tuttosport report that Juventus would ideally prefer to keep the Brazilian, but two factors complicate their position: a release clause of €58 million in his contract that effectively removes the club from any negotiation, and reported discontent from Bremer himself following a disappointing season in Turin.

Juventus have made their stance clear — if Tottenham want him, they will need to meet the full clause. The response from London, however, has been a counter-proposal designed to lower the cash element: include goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in the deal.

Vicario: The Goalkeeper Subplot

The offer is timely. Juventus are actively seeking a new first-choice goalkeeper, with Spalletti openly dissatisfied with both Michele Di Gregorio and Marco Perin. Alisson was the original priority but has drifted out of reach; Dibu Martínez remains the current target. Should the Aston Villa negotiations stall, however, Vicario — available after Inter opted against pursuing him — could suddenly become a very attractive alternative. Tottenham’s willingness to include him in a Bremer deal may prove decisive.

A Second Swap: David for Udogie

The conversations between the two clubs have not stopped at Bremer and Vicario. A second potential exchange has also been discussed.

Tottenham are losing Randal Kolo Muani — ironically a player Juventus themselves covet — and De Zerbi is reportedly interested in taking on Jonathan David, hoping to revive a striker who endured a difficult debut season in Serie A. In return, Juventus would receive Destiny Udogie, the Italian left-back and former Udinese player who fits squarely into their need for a specialist option on that flank, particularly if Andrea Cambiaso departs.

Two Deals, One Axis

Neither swap is straightforward, and much depends on how several parallel negotiations — Martínez, Sorloth, Cambiaso — develop over the coming weeks. But the relationship between the two clubs is described as excellent, and the logic of both exchanges is clear. For Juventus, the summer is about selling smartly to rebuild boldly. Tottenham may well be their most important partner in making that happen.
