Cesare Prandelli, the experienced Italian football coach, has paid tribute to Luciano Spalletti’s early work at Juventus, highlighting the determined mindset Spalletti has instilled since taking charge. Speaking to Il Messaggero (as quoted by JuventusNews24), Prandelli shared candid insights into several key figures shaping Serie A’s current landscape, but it was his praise for Spalletti that stood out.
Reflecting on Spalletti’s arrival, Prandelli said, “He introduced himself in the right way: at Juventus, you work to win. He has brought enthusiasm back to the club and made everyone understand that Juve must play like Juve, and, with hard work, will improve.”
Turning to other managers, Prandelli commented on Gian Piero Gasperini’s progress at Roma: “He’s stamped his mark with clear and precise ideas. But they are still missing two quality players to truly compete for the title.”
Prandelli also discussed Antonio Conte’s situation, stating, “He probably needed two or three days of reflection, agreed with the club. He made it clear to everyone that you need to work as you did in the year of the scudetto. He’s been clever and strategic.”
Looking ahead to the Milan Derby, Prandelli made a bold prediction: “Inter have won 10 out of 11, and Milan have found their form again. Chivu is demonstrating technical and communicative ability, and Inter are rediscovering themselves by doing something different from the past. Allegri has always been a winner. It will be a spectacular match—I expect 4 or 5 goals.”
