Atalanta vs Juventus to Be Final Preseason Test Before Serie A Opener

Tudor

Juventus have officially announced that their final preseason friendly ahead of the 2025/26 Serie A campaign will be played against Atalanta in Bergamo. The match, scheduled for Saturday, August 16 at 20:45 CEST, will serve as the 26th edition of the “Trofeo Achille e Cesare Bortolotti”, a fixture that honours two iconic presidents in Atalanta’s history.

This encounter will mark the culmination of Juventus’ preseason schedule, wrapping up preparations just eight days before the club’s league debut against Parma at the Allianz Stadium on August 24.

Juventus’ 2025 Summer Preseason Schedule

  • August 2: Juventus vs Reggiana in Vinovo

  • August 10: Borussia Dortmund vs Juventus in Dortmund

  • August 13: Juventus vs Juventus Next Gen at the Allianz Stadium

  • August 16: Atalanta vs Juventus in Bergamo (Trofeo Bortolotti)

The friendly against Atalanta is steeped in tradition, with Juventus having previously appeared in this commemorative fixture back in 1992 when it took the format of a mini-tournament featuring Atalanta and Borussia Dortmund—an opponent the Bianconeri will meet again this summer.

The Trofeo Bortolotti is a heartfelt tribute in Bergamo, and after several years of foreign opposition, this 2025 edition returns to an all-Italian showdown. The event will also see the presentation of the “Valter Polini” Award for fair play and the “Mario Bresciani” Award for the best player on the pitch.
