Bremer Returns Early to Continassa: Juventus Defender Begins Pre-Season Ahead of Team

The countdown to Juventus’ new season has officially begun. While the team is set to start pre-season training on Thursday, July 24, the spotlight is on Gleison Bremer, who is making his return to training a few days in advance. After a devastating knee injury kept him sidelined for ten months, the Brazilian defender will be back at Continassa on Monday, July 21, eager to begin his preparations for the year ahead.

Last October, Bremer’s season was abruptly ended just minutes into the match against RB Leipzig. A collision with Openda resulted in a serious knee injury—specifically, a cruciate ligament tear—that ruled him out for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign. This not only dealt a heavy blow to Bremer personally but also forced Juventus to move forward without one of their key leaders on the pitch. As a result, the team has spent 295 days without one of their most valuable players.

Bremer’s early return to Continassa underlines the importance of his comeback. According to reports from IlBianconero, he will begin individual training before joining his teammates, who are scheduled to arrive later in the week. This head start is crucial, as Juventus looks to solidify their defensive line for the upcoming season. Notably, during last season’s Club World Cup campaign in the United States, Bremer travelled with the squad but did not play, as the coaching staff chose to prioritize his long-term recovery.

Joining Bremer at Continassa is Arkadiusz Milik. The Polish forward has also spent a significant amount of time away from the pitch, working his way back from a knee injury sustained while playing for his national team. Milik is steadily progressing in his rehabilitation, aiming to regain full fitness ahead of the new season.
