Bremer Steps Up Recovery on NASA-Backed Anti-Gravity Treadmill

Start

Gleison Bremer continues to make steady progress in his recovery from knee surgery, with Juventus turning to cutting-edge technology to accelerate his return. The Brazilian defender, who underwent an operation on the meniscus of his left knee a month ago, has started using a special anti-gravity treadmill as part of his rehabilitation programme.

NASA Technology Behind the Recovery

Although Bremer has yet to resume running on the pitch, he is working hard in the gym and sharing glimpses of his recovery on social media. IlBianconero report that his sessions take place on a treadmill that employs air compression technology originally developed by NASA, allowing athletes to train while reducing their body weight by up to 80 percent. The system significantly decreases the impact on joints, helping players rebuild fitness without overloading recovering areas.

This advanced machine has become increasingly common across Serie A clubs as a way to shorten recovery times and ensure safer, more controlled reintroductions to physical activity.

Recovery Plan and Timeline

Bremer underwent a selective arthroscopic meniscectomy on 14 October and has followed his recovery plan without setbacks. Juventus’ medical staff remain cautious, prioritising a complete and lasting recovery to ensure Spalletti can count on the centre-back throughout the rest of the season.

Over the coming days, Bremer is expected to gradually increase his workload, with the technical and medical teams monitoring his response closely before he is cleared to return to full squad training.

When Could Bremer Return?

Following the international break, Juventus face a demanding schedule with matches every three days, including crucial Champions League fixtures. Bremer is still expected to miss upcoming games against Fiorentina, Bodø/Glimt, Cagliari, and Udinese in the Coppa Italia.

The tentative target for his return is the away match at Napoli on 7 December—a date circled in red by the Juventus staff. However, the club will take no risks; if the game at the Maradona arrives too soon, Bremer’s comeback could instead fall between the subsequent fixtures against Pafos, Bologna, or Roma.

In any case, the objective is clear: see Bremer back on the pitch before the end of 2025, ready to face the new year fully fit and without lingering issues.
