A horrendous cameo from Juan Cabal and some lamentable defending saw Juventus throw away a 2-1 lead against Galatasaray, losing 5-2 in their first-leg Champions League play off.
Juventus
Di Gegorio: Could have done better on the Gala equaliser, considering he made some decent saves at other moments in the game. Crumbled as the match went on and his poor reactions made it a night to forget. Not helped by his truly embarrassing defence. 3.0/10
Kalulu: Sprinted forward to support the counter-attack that led to Juve’s equaliser. Really struggled for the remainder of the game and had no help from his backline. 4.5/10
Bremer: Had a tough start against Osimhen. Unfortunately subbed off with an injury. N/A
Kelly: Had to contend with a very pacey and physical Gala attack. Made some truly dreadful decisions, including a mistake on the 4th goal. 3.0/10
Cambiaso: Had a real night of it against Yilmaz – Pinged in a wonderful cross for the equaliser but picked up a booking right after. Subbed off at half-time and misses the second-leg. 4.0/10
⭐ Koopmeiners: Finally came good, scoring an easy-ish tap-in to bring Juve level, just a minute after going behind. Scored an absolute stunner to make it 2-1, looked more like the Atalanta Koop that Juve have been waiting for. The only Juve player who put in any kind of performance. 7.0/10
Locatelli: Was up against it at times and played a few wayward balls here and there. Really anonymous, far from a captains performance. 4.0/10
Thuram: Back in the stating XI but wasn’t really imposing enough. Made a poor pass to put a teammate that led to 4-2. Dreadful. 3.5/10
Conceicao: Saw a lot of the ball and showed good pace when Juve countered, but lacked the finishing touch. Average. 4.0/10
Yildiz: A poor moment from him led to the Gala opener. Struggled to make any kind of headway in the Gala half. Pedestrian. 4.0/10
Mckennie: Played in a new role and really acquitted himself well, holding up play really well before setting up Koop for Juve’s second. 6.5/10
Spalletti: Set up his team as best he could, but injuries and bookings forced his hand. 6.5/10

Gatti: Stepped in for Bremer and just didn’t look up to the pace of the game at all. 4.0/10
Cabal: Came on for Cambiaso and was utterly abysmal. Booked within minutes of coming on, then played a part in the Gala equaliser. Caught ball watching Gala’s third………and then sent off for another imbecilic foul. One of the worst, if not the worst cameo a Juve player has ever given. 0.5/10
