Chiesa and Juventus: The Latest on a Possible Return Amid Napoli Links

Juventus are exploring the possibility of bringing Federico Chiesa back to Turin, with fans already beginning to dream about a sensational reunion. According to reports shared by Fabrizio Romano, the Bianconeri have opened channels of communication with the player’s camp, though any move remains a medium-term project rather than an immediate January deal.

Romano explained that Juventus are taking a careful, step-by-step approach, aware that the transfer landscape in January rarely favours quick negotiations. The club is closely monitoring developments, particularly from Liverpool, who currently hold Chiesa’s contract and are demanding strong guarantees regarding any future purchase option.

Napoli’s Interest

Napoli have also emerged as a potential suitor. Thanks to sporting director Giovanni Manna’s positive relationship with Chiesa’s entourage, initial contact was made to gauge the player’s situation. However, sources suggest the deal would be complicated given Napoli’s current financial position. An obligation to buy would be unfeasible unless a key player leaves, or Liverpool lower their demands.

Liverpool’s Stance

Liverpool are reportedly firm in their stance, insisting on assurances for a permanent transfer. Without solid guarantees or a binding purchase clause, the Premier League side are unwilling to sanction Chiesa’s exit this winter. Juventus remain patient but cautious, aware that negotiations could stretch into the later stages of the window.

Inter Stay Out

Despite speculation, Inter Milan are not in the running for Chiesa. The Nerazzurri view him as ill-suited to Cristian Chivu’s 3-5-2 system and have conducted no enquiries regarding the winger.

For now, Juventus remain the most realistic destination should Chiesa move in 2026—though much depends on Liverpool’s flexibility and Napoli’s capacity to manoeuvre in the transfer market. Fans in Turin may have to wait a little longer to see if their dream of Chiesa’s return becomes reality.
