Federico Chiesa has made up his mind: he wants to return to Serie A and rewrite the final chapter of his Juventus story. The Italian winger, currently at Liverpool, has opened the door only to the Bianconeri as he awaits clarity over the English club’s transfer plans.
According to reports from Tuttosport, Chiesa has already been in touch with several former teammates, including Dusan Vlahovic, Manuel Locatelli and Federico Gatti. The conversations, held through calls and WhatsApp messages, centred on his potential return to Turin as he waits for further developments — particularly on Liverpool’s side, who are assessing their squad ahead of Mohamed Salah’s comeback.
Juventus’ Conditions
Chiesa, born in 1997, is well aware that a return to Juventus would come with conditions. Under Luciano Spalletti, he would not be viewed as the star man but rather as a valuable addition capable of raising the team’s level. Any starting position would have to be earned on merit, without relying on past achievements.
Spalletti has not yet spoken directly with the player, though contact is expected soon. The coach intends to clarify expectations before any decisions are made.
Spalletti’s Approach
The Juventus manager wants to assess Chiesa’s motivation and mindset carefully. He expects the winger to embrace the role of a high-calibre team player rather than a guaranteed starter. Spalletti’s message is clear: there will be no rivalry with Kenan Yildiz, who remains the team’s key figure on the left flank and a central part of the club’s future.
If Spalletti is convinced of Chiesa’s commitment and attitude, the player could become a valuable asset to the squad. However, the coach will not sanction a move unless he is confident that Chiesa can contribute positively both on and off the pitch.
