Speaking to Sky after Juve’s 5-2 loss to Galatasaray, club captain Manuel Locatelli reflected on the team’s performance with honesty and determination, acknowledging mistakes but urging his teammates to keep faith.
“We made mistakes we shouldn’t have made, even in our passing game,” Locatelli admitted. “We showed less courage, and we paid for it.”
Looking ahead, the midfielder stressed the importance of belief despite the uphill task that lies ahead.
“Right now, it’s hard to talk about a comeback,” he said. “We have Como up next, and then at home we’ll try to give everything. We must believe – it will be very difficult, but we have to put our hearts into it.”
Locatelli also pointed to key moments that affected the match, insisting that Juventus must respond with greater resilience going forward.
“The red card episode influenced the game, but we made individual errors,” he continued. “We didn’t have the same reaction, we were flat, and we struggled. These are steps of growth we need to take – and quickly.”
