Antonio Conte’s fiery personality may end up indirectly giving Juventus a hand in the transfer market. IlBianconeri report that the comments made by Branislav Jasurek, agent of Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka, have caused quite a stir—criticising Conte’s relentless demands and hinting at potential unrest within the Azzurri camp.
According to Jasurek, Lobotka could find it increasingly difficult to cope with the physical and mental intensity imposed by the Salento-born coach. “He could stay there for a few more seasons, but he’s 30 now, and physically surviving under Conte will be almost impossible. Next summer, Napoli could still receive a good sum for him. Stano is happy in Italy, and he feels comfortable there. But if Conte stays beyond this season, I think Lobotka will start putting pressure on me,” said the player’s representative.
For Juventus, these words open an intriguing scenario. Lobotka fits perfectly into the profile of midfielder that Luciano Spalletti is searching for: a playmaker capable of dictating tempo, organising build-up, and maintaining control in possession. During their shared time at Napoli, Spalletti developed a strong rapport with the Slovak, who thrived under his guidance.
Reports suggest Lobotka could become a realistic alternative to other, more complicated targets such as Morten Hjulmand. The Slovak’s experience, reliability, and understanding of Serie A football make him an appealing option—particularly given the Bianconeri’s aim to strengthen their midfield with a deep-lying playmaker.
A move as soon as January, however, appears unrealistic. Negotiating with Aurelio De Laurentiis has never been straightforward, and Napoli’s president would almost certainly prefer to sell abroad—should he decide to part ways with the 1994-born midfielder. Clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona could enter the race if the opportunity arises. Still, Juventus may hope that Spalletti’s influence could help them turn the player’s growing discontent into a transfer opening in the future.
