Davide Frattesi’s name continues to dominate transfer discussions, with his future caught between Inter, Juventus, and Galatasaray. Over recent weeks, the Italy–Turkey axis has become increasingly active, as Inter prepare to make a strategic decision regarding their midfielder’s next move.
Juventus admiration but disagreement on formula
Fabrizio Romano reports that Frattesi views Juventus as a desirable destination, partly due to his positive relationship with Luciano Spalletti. However, the main issue lies in the financial structure of a potential deal. Juventus are considering only a paid loan with an option to buy — a formula that Inter find unsuitable, particularly with a direct Serie A rival. The two clubs remain far apart in negotiations, making any deal difficult to advance under current terms.
Galatasaray lead the chase
Attention has now shifted to Turkey, where Galatasaray are pushing hard to secure Frattesi’s signature. Reports indicate that their interest is genuine and that the club are ready to offer a total package worth around €35 million — €5 million for a paid loan and €30 million tied to a purchase obligation. It’s an important offer that has caught Inter’s attention but still falls short of sealing an agreement.
The buy-out clause remains the main obstacle
The key sticking point concerns the conditions for triggering the purchase obligation. Inter want this clause to be straightforward and guaranteed, while Galatasaray prefer to link it to a high number of appearances, making it less certain. This disagreement has kept negotiations on hold for nearly a week, with both sides unwilling to compromise for now.
Frattesi’s stance and potential next steps
Frattesi, for his part, has not rejected the Turkish opportunity. The salary on offer from Galatasaray is described as significant and could prove decisive if the clubs find common ground. Nevertheless, the current deadlock lies entirely at club level. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe have not made any concrete moves for the Italian midfielder, leaving Galatasaray as the only serious Turkish contender at this stage.
