Decisive Day for En-Nesyri: Juventus Press to Close the Deal in Turkey

Today could be the decisive day for Juventus in their pursuit of Youssef En-Nesyri. The Bianconeri are intensifying talks with Fenerbahce as they aim to finally secure the Moroccan striker, regarded as the ideal reinforcement for their attack.

IlBianconero report how Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini has been in Istanbul since yesterday to finalise negotiations. He attended Fenerbahce’s Europa League clash with Aston Villa, a match in which En-Nesyri was neither on the pitch nor on the bench — an omission that speaks volumes about his impending departure. Ottolini will remain in Turkey today in a bid to settle the final details with both the club and the player’s entourage, who have already shown openness to the move.

At present, discussions continue over the fee for the paid loan, which is expected to include a contribution towards the player’s significant salary. Juventus are pushing to find an agreement that would also make sense financially, considering the forward’s potential long-term stay in Turin.

The current proposal on the table is a loan worth around €4–5 million, with an option to buy set at €19 million. A further €2–3 million in bonuses would be triggered by specific individual and team-based performance targets.

Meanwhile, alternative target Jean-Philippe Mateta continues to look for an exit from Crystal Palace, though the Premier League club remains firm in its stance. Juventus have therefore shifted their full focus to En-Nesyri to avoid complications or delays in strengthening their frontline. Once that deal is sealed, further moves in attack could follow later in the transfer window.

En-Nesyri’s profile has captured Juventus’s attention largely due to his physical presence. Standing at 1.90 metres, he is renowned for his aerial ability and strength in duels, attributes that make him a constant threat in the penalty area. His record backs it up: between 2016 and 2023, he scored 20 headers in La Liga — second only to Karim Benzema’s 21 over the same period.
