Alessandro Del Piero, speaking from the Sky Sport studios (as quoted by ilbianconero) , analysed the thrilling 4-4 match between Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, underlining the importance of the Bianconeri’s performance.
“For heart, but not only for heart, because I actually saw two different teams — a little more blocked in the first half, more cautious, let’s say. And we understood in the second half why. Dortmund is always underestimated, but instead they are always there. They knew how to find different energy, sometimes with patience, sometimes with anger, sometimes with fight until the very end, just like Juventus’ motto. These are the things that are making Juve smile right now. It happened against Inter, it happened against Dortmund, so these are positive and very important signs.”
Del Piero stressed that the team’s resilience is what stands out most from these recent tests.
“These are the signs of a team that is alive, that believes, that has confidence in each other, that has confidence in the coach. They are all very positive signs. I would say it’s a point that’s worth more given how the match unfolded. It’s a point that in the standings counts as one, but in terms of awareness it counts as three.”
