“Everything is More Beautiful Here”: Spalletti Ahead of the Derby with Torino

Start

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti spoke to DAZN (as quoted by ilbianconero)  before the Derby della Mole against Torino, sharing his thoughts on team selection, player management, and the special atmosphere at the Allianz Stadium. The Bianconeri boss is aiming for his first home victory and hoping to build on the fine performance in Cremona last weekend.

On the eve of an important fixture, Spalletti highlighted the balance and composure his side needs to maintain.

“I thanked the players for the willingness they have shown; it’s fundamental,” he said. “Of course, when you play good matches, it’s right to add a little extra. It’s important because if you overdo things, you risk creating confusion. You need balance on the pitch. We’ll progress step by step, calmly, but for now, the responses have been very positive.”

Focusing on Samuel Iling Junior, Kenan Yildiz, and others who support Dusan Vlahović upfront, the coach explained his tactical choices.

“The first thing we must do is put them in a position to play beyond the halfway line,” Spalletti stressed. “If you make them spend too much energy in the defensive phase, they have less ability to express their quality. Having quick, technical players gives us more attacking solutions. For now, we’ve shown we can manage two players behind Dusan, so we’ll continue like this and assess things as we go. There’s always the risk of fatigue, and I saw that we needed to keep the same line-up.”

Finally, Spalletti expressed his admiration for the atmosphere at the Allianz Stadium, which he hopes will inspire his players in the derby.

“Here it’s wonderful because of how close the fans are—you really feel their love for these colours. Everything is more beautiful here.”
