After Juventus’ defeat against Napoli, Ciro Ferrara — the former defender who played for both clubs — shared his thoughts during DAZN’s Fuoriclasse panel. The Bianconeri suffered their first loss since Luciano Spalletti took charge, falling 2–1 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
The result was another blow for Juventus, who have now recorded their seventh consecutive away defeat against the Azzurri in Serie A. A draw seemed possible, but Højlund’s brace sealed the victory for Napoli, spoiling Spalletti’s return to the region where he previously achieved historic success by guiding Napoli to their third Scudetto.
Ferrara’s Analysis
Commenting on the match and on Antonio Conte’s resurgent Napoli, Ferrara praised the home side’s performance:
“There are many positive signs for the Azzurri, who are ahead of the *Vecchia Signora* even in terms of personality. One of them is Højlund’s return to scoring form. Then there’s the physical condition, shown by the fact that Napoli won so many tackles, especially in the first half.”
“It’s Useless to Talk About the Scudetto”
Ferrara also dismissed any premature discussion about Juventus being in the title race:
“Can Juventus fight for the Scudetto? I think it’s useless to have that kind of talk. They need to lift their morale and improve the condition of some of their players.”
