First Meeting for Vlahovic Renewal: Both Sides Open to Agreement

There are important developments at Juventus on the contract front. After securing Weston McKennie with a new deal running until 2030, the club has moved quickly to address the future of another key figure in the squad: Dušan Vlahović.

Mutual Will to Continue Together

The Serbian striker’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season, but both parties are clear in their intentions: they want to continue together. A first meeting was held last week between Juventus’ management and the player’s entourage, and that discussion produced a mutual openness to a renewal. It is a strong signal that there was never a real breakdown in relations.

For now, a definitive agreement has not yet been reached. However, club and player have already expressed their intention to meet again soon to go into the key details: salary, length of the deal and the finer points of a potential new contract.

Juve’s Position and Vlahovic’s Priority

Juventus have reiterated their desire to renew Vlahovic’s contract, but strictly within their economic and sporting parameters. From his side, the forward has made it clear that his absolute priority is to listen to the Bianconeri’s proposal before considering any other option.

It is an important signal, especially given that, despite his contract running down, Vlahovic does not currently have any agreements or understandings in place with other clubs.

Salary the Central Issue

The main sticking point remains financial. Both sides will need to make an effort to find common ground on the wage package. As things stand, though, the mood is positive. Juventus want to secure their number 9, and the player is willing to negotiate.
