Juve NextGen DM Giacomo Faticanti, 21, has moved to Avellino on loan for next season. We recently gave him a new deal until 2029.
Faticanti made his Italy senior debut in June under Baldini after enjoying a strong campaign for our NG side, with Brambilla often praising him as the main engine in midfield.
I had hoped we would see him given chance to impress in our Summer camp, given we have no natural DM other than a shoe-horned yet capable Loca. Yet with so many other CMs to try deal with, the unfortunate state of affairs if that there is probably no space for him to try fill. We have on the books still – Arthur, Douglas Luiz, Miretti, Adzic, Koopmeiners added to McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram. I also remain lacking confidence that Spalletti has any interest in given the young talents a serious opportunity to stake a claim.
Joining Faticanti at Avellino will be Italy U21 LB Brando Moruzzi (21), who featured regularly in the second tier for Empoli last term.
Both deals are prestito con diritto di riscatto e controriscatto – a purchase price and option is included as is a counter purchase option.
