“Happy with the Team’s Affection” — Jonathan David and Fabio Miretti React After Juventus’ Win at Sassuolo

Goalscorers Jonathan David and Fabio Miretti expressed their joy and unity after Juventus’ emphatic 3–0 victory over Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia, a result that continued the Bianconeri’s impressive run of form.

David, who bounced back just days after missing a crucial penalty against Lecce, played a starring role on Sunday — providing the assist for Miretti’s goal before scoring Juve’s third himself to seal the result.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, the Canadian forward admitted the warm reaction from his teammates meant a lot after a difficult week.

“Iceman is back? I scored a nice goal, I’m happy,” said David with a smile. “The most important thing is that we got straight back to winning ways.

“The team’s embrace? I really appreciated it — it feels great to have that affection from the group.

“As for the last few days, what bothered me most about the penalty was not that people talked about it, but that we didn’t win and dropped two points. Penalties? I always try to vary how I take them. I want to score because I want to win with Juventus.”

Miretti: “Johnny Deserves It”

Midfielder Fabio Miretti, who netted his first goal in two years, was full of praise for his teammate while highlighting the strong bond within the dressing room.

“Scoring with this shirt is always a great feeling. It last happened two years ago,” Miretti said. “Trequartista? I like that role — I’ve always played there. I’m happy with the win and the performance we produced.

“We’re all very happy for Johnny — he deserves it. We’re a really united group: when someone on the outside says something against one of us, the team closes ranks and protects whoever is attacked.”
