Spalletti

Jugovic: “Tuscan coaches bring good luck to Juventus”

Can Juventus really fight for the Scudetto? Former Bianconeri midfielder Vladimir Jugovic believes they can. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as quoted by IlBianconero), he shared his view on Luciano Spalletti’s impact and the team’s recent form.

“The Tuscan coach always brings good luck to Juventus,” Jugovic said. “I’m thinking of Massimiliano Allegri and Marcello Lippi — the best of them all. Spalletti won a lot in Russia with Zenit and claimed a historic Scudetto with Napoli in 2023, so I’m not surprised he has changed Juventus’ mentality over the past two months.”

Players reborn under Spalletti

Jugovic praised Spalletti’s ability to revitalise key players and restore balance to the team. “Spalletti has relaunched Koopmeiners in defence, found the right shape for the team, made the most of Yildiz, and now with Bremer back, the side can grow even more. The wins against Bologna and Roma were typical of Juventus — important and hard-fought. The league is long, and the Bianconeri need a strong run of victories. Despite the coach’s caution, the post-Christmas calendar looks favourable enough for Juventus to believe and give it a real go.”

“Yes, Juventus can fight for the title”

The Serbian remains confident in the team’s ability to compete at the top. “Yes, Juventus can fight their way back into the title race, which would already be impressive given how things looked earlier in the season. At Juventus, winning is everything — they taught me that from the first day in Turin. In my time, even draws weren’t acceptable. Everything can change quickly, but right now I still see Napoli as the favourites. Conte is used to celebrating Scudetti — he’s done it everywhere he’s gone,” Jugovic concluded.
