Juventus Aim for Fresh Start Against Verona: Kalulu Eyes Return to Bench

Kalulu

Juventus are looking to bounce back after their Coppa Italia elimination at the hands of Empoli. The Bianconeri will host Verona on Monday to close out the Serie A matchday, with manager Thiago Motta hoping to have Pierre Kalulu available at least for the bench.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report how Kalulu, the 24-year-old French defender, has been sidelined since January 29th when he suffered an injury during the match against Benfica. Motta will assess Kalulu’s condition over the next 48 hours to determine if he can be included in the squad. If not, the defender is expected to make his return for the crucial fixture against Atalanta on March 9th.

The potential return of Kalulu would be a welcome boost for Juventus, who are still grappling with a significant number of absences. For Monday’s match, the team will be without Veiga, Savona, Douglas Luiz, Milik, Cabal, and Bremer.
