André Cury, agent of Atalanta midfielder Ederson, has spoken about his client’s future and hinted that a move could be on the horizon. The Brazilian is under contract with the Bergamo side until June 2027, and reportedly attracting serious interest from top European clubs.
Cury Suggests Barcelona Could Be a Perfect Fit
Speaking to Spanish media (as quoted by Calciomercato), Cury described Ederson as a player who could thrive at Barcelona, praising his physicality and consistency. He explained that Atalanta had already received significant offers but chose to keep the midfielder last summer. According to the agent, a transfer could now materialise either in the upcoming winter window or later in the summer.
Atalanta’s Asking Price May Drop
Cury revealed that Atalanta’s initial asking price of €60–75 million may no longer stand, given the player’s contract situation. “Now that he’s approaching the end of his deal,” he said, “the club could reduce their demands to between €30 and €40 million. He’s a spectacular footballer with some of the best statistics in Europe for his position.” The agent also acknowledged his close relationship with Deco and Barcelona’s president, suggesting his willingness to facilitate discussions with the Catalan club.
Juventus Keep a Close Eye
Juventus have long listed Ederson among their potential midfield targets. With the Turin club planning at least two midfield signings next summer, the Atalanta star’s reduced valuation makes him an even more attractive option. All signs point to Ederson becoming one of the standout names to follow in the next transfer window.
