Juventus Await Bremer’s Return: Defender Nearing End of Recovery

Start

Juventus are closely monitoring Gleison Bremer’s rehabilitation, with the Brazilian defender approaching the final stages of recovery from a left knee meniscus injury that required surgery last month. The 27-year-old has been sidelined since 13 October, when a consultation in Lyon revealed the extent of the damage, forcing him to undergo a selective arthroscopic meniscectomy.

For Juventus, the setback came as a significant blow. Bremer had quickly established himself as a defensive pillar this season, and his absence has been felt across Luciano Spalletti’s back line.

Recovery Timeline

IlBianconero report how medical estimates initially placed Bremer’s recovery time at six to eight weeks, factoring in his robust physique and previous injury history. That schedule suggests his return could be on the horizon, with a potential comeback before the end of the year.

However, the club’s medical staff at JMedical are determined to proceed with caution. While progress has been steady, there is no intention to rush his return and risk a setback. The defender is therefore expected to remain out for a little longer to ensure a full recovery and optimal fitness.

Possible Return Dates

Current projections indicate that Bremer might rejoin the squad in mid-December. That would coincide with Juventus’ league fixtures against Bologna on the 14th and Roma on the 20th—two crucial matches in the build-up to the festive period.

A more optimistic timeline points to a potential early return on Sunday 7 December, when the Bianconeri face Napoli in a top-of-the-table clash, followed shortly after by a Champions League encounter against Pafos.

At Continassa, Bremer’s name remains one of the most awaited on the team sheet. While the club are eager to have their key defender back, the overriding priority remains his complete and safe recovery before reintroduction to competitive action.
