Juventus’ Defensive Plan: Gatti, Senesi and Bremer

Juventus are already shaping their plans for next season, with the defence once again at the centre of their transfer strategy. Between new targets, internal assessments and potential sales, the Bianconeri are preparing a carefully planned restructuring of their backline.

Senesi a Concrete Target for the Defence

IlBianconero report that the main name on Juve’s shortlist is Marcos Senesi. The Argentine centre-back, whose contract with Bournemouth is due to expire, looks set to leave the English club and has become one of the most appealing options on the market.

Juventus have already opened talks with the defender’s entourage and are closely following developments. However, competition is strong: several Premier League and La Liga clubs have also expressed interest.

Senesi’s profile fits perfectly with what Juventus are looking for — experience, reliability and an ability to make an immediate impact. These qualities make him an ideal candidate to strengthen the defensive unit.

Gatti Could Leave in the Summer

At the same time, the situation surrounding Federico Gatti remains open. The Italian defender continues to attract interest, particularly from abroad.

In recent months, several Premier League sides — most notably West Ham — have made concrete enquiries. Juventus do not consider Gatti untouchable and, should a significant offer arrive, could decide to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.

Much will depend on how the defensive setup evolves and on whether new signings are brought in before pre-season.

Bremer Remains the Cornerstone

In contrast, Gleison Bremer’s position is secure. The Brazilian is seen as the cornerstone of Juventus’ future defence, and despite interest from several top European clubs, the Bianconeri have no intention of selling their key centre-back.

The club’s technical project is set to continue with Bremer as the defensive leader — a figure viewed as essential for maintaining stability, authority and continuity within the team.
