Juventus are keeping their options open in attack as they continue to assess potential reinforcements for the second half of the season. While Federico Chiesa remains the club’s main target for the attacking midfield role, a new name has emerged on the radar — Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
The Belgian winger, formerly of Atlético Madrid, currently plays for Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia. According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have made exploratory enquiries to understand Carrasco’s availability and potential fit within the team’s plans.
At 32, Carrasco’s experience and versatility could represent a valuable short-term opportunity for the Bianconeri. Several European clubs are also monitoring his situation, with Napoli and Atlético Madrid mentioned among those showing interest. His existing ties with Atlético could complicate matters, but Juventus are studying the feasibility of a move during this transfer window.
Chiesa Still a Priority
Despite the Carrasco links, Juventus have not given up on Federico Chiesa. The Liverpool attacker remains a top priority, though negotiations face obstacles due to Liverpool’s stance — the Premier League club are reportedly only open to a permanent transfer.
This condition has temporarily slowed down discussions, prompting Juventus to explore alternative opportunities such as Carrasco while keeping the Chiesa file active. The Bianconeri remain determined to bolster their attack with a player capable of adding creativity and incisiveness in the final third.
Juventus Also Eye Muharemovic
Beyond the attacking department, Juventus are also evaluating defensive reinforcements for the future. One name being considered is Ruan Tressoldi Muharemovic, currently at Sassuolo.
The 23-year-old defender, who previously had ties with Juventus, is not expected to move in January but could be in play for a summer switch. Inter are among the clubs interested, but Juventus — holding 50% of any future sale value — are closely following developments and have reportedly held recent talks with the player’s representatives.
