The January transfer window could see the paths of Juventus and Inter Milan cross once again — this time with Davide Frattesi and Khéphren Thuram at the centre of an intriguing potential swap.
Juventus Target Frattesi
According to Matteo Moretto, Juventus have turned their attention to Davide Frattesi, with Luciano Spalletti pushing strongly for the midfielder’s arrival in Turin. The Bianconeri are looking for a dynamic central player who can inject energy into midfield and give Spalletti the flexibility to switch to a 4-2-3-1 system more comfortably.
Frattesi fits that profile perfectly. Highly mobile, effective between the lines and familiar with Spalletti’s methods from their time together with the Italian national team, the Inter midfielder is seen as a natural fit for Juventus’s evolving tactical setup. Spalletti, who tried to bring him to Napoli before, remains a strong admirer and would welcome the chance to work with him again.
Inter’s Position on Frattesi
Frattesi’s situation at Inter remains uncertain. Despite joining last season amid high expectations, he has struggled for consistent playing time. So far, the 25-year-old has made 13 appearances across Serie A, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia — only four of them as a starter — and is yet to find the net this season.
With his contract running until 2028, official renewal talks began last summer but have since stalled. Given his limited involvement under Cristian Chivu, the club may be open to listening to offers in January if a suitable proposal arrives. Inter’s valuation remains high, reportedly no less than €35 million, though various scenarios could emerge before the winter window closes.
Inter Consider Khéphren Thuram
On the other side, Inter are monitoring Khéphren Thuram, who joined Juventus from Nice last summer and quickly established himself as a promising presence in midfield. The Frenchman’s contract runs until 2029, but his name has now surfaced in the context of a potential swap deal.
What makes this possibility particularly appealing for Inter is the chance to unite Khéphren with his brother Marcus Thuram at San Siro. The Nerazzurri see Khéphren as a player with the physicality and athleticism that align with Chivu’s ideal midfield profile — attributes they also sought in Roma’s Manu Koné last summer.
A Possible Market Crossover
While nothing is advanced at this stage, the idea of a double deal — Frattesi moving to Juventus and Thuram joining Inter — is one to watch closely as January approaches. With both clubs evaluating their midfield options, this transfer link could ignite one of the most intriguing stories of the upcoming winter market.
