Juventus are set for a major shake-up in its attacking lineup this summer. Gazzetta dello Sport report (as quoted by IlBianconero) how, with the signing of Jonathan David all but finalized, the club is now preparing a determined push to bring Victor Osimhen to Turin as its next marquee addition.
Jonathan David is expected to complete his medical on Friday and sign a five-year contract with the Bianconeri. His arrival marks the first major move under the new management and signals Juventus’ intent to rebuild after a challenging season. However, the club’s ambitions do not stop there—strengthening the attack remains a top priority.
While talks for Randal Kolo Muani have slowed due to complications with PSG, Juventus have turned their focus back to Osimhen, who has re-emerged as a primary target for the front line. The Nigerian striker, currently under contract with Napoli, has long been admired by Juventus’ leadership. Negotiations initially began under former managing director Cristiano Giuntoli and, despite a pause during recent changes in the club’s hierarchy, have now resumed with renewed vigour.
Juventus face stiff competition for Osimhen, with interest from Al-Hilal, PSG, and several Premier League clubs. Despite receiving a lucrative €30 million per year offer from Al-Hilal, Osimhen has shown a willingness to consider a move to Juventus, having already indicated his openness to the transfer earlier in the year.
A major obstacle in the pursuit is Napoli’s valuation. The club has rejected all offers below €75 million, the amount of Osimhen’s release clause for foreign clubs. However, this clause is set to expire in mid-July, potentially lowering Napoli’s demands and opening the door for Juventus to negotiate more favourable terms. Osimhen, whose contract runs until 2026, is not part of new Napoli coach Antonio Conte’s plans, making a transfer increasingly likely.
Juventus’ strategy also involves resolving the futures of Dusan Vlahovic and Kolo Muani. Vlahovic, in particular, is expected to leave, which would free up both financial resources and a starting spot in the attack. The club is working on multiple fronts to ensure it can accommodate both David and, potentially, Osimhen in a revamped forward line.
