Juventus Face Uncertainty with Conceicao, Eyes Adeyemi for Summer Reinforcements

Start

Francisco Conceicao’s future at Juventus is in doubt after just one season in Turin. The Portuguese winger, who joined Juventus from Porto last summer for €7 million plus €3 million in bonuses, could be on his way out, with a return to Porto increasingly likely. Juventus hold an option to buy Conceicao outright for €30 million, but the deal, which seemed almost certain during the winter transfer window, has cooled significantly due to a combination of the team’s fluctuating performance and Conceicao’s own dip in form.

In the first half of the season, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli had reached a preliminary agreement with Porto for a permanent transfer. However, Conceicao’s performances declined in 2025, and following the arrival of coach Igor Tudor, he found himself sidelined. As a result, negotiations with Porto stalled, and Conceicao has reportedly expressed a desire to return to his former club, potentially to reassess his options before making a longer-term decision about his career.

Juventus Turn Attention to Karim Adeyemi

As Juventus prepare for the upcoming transfer window, Tuttosport report that the club is once again considering Karim Adeyemi as a potential addition to the squad. The Borussia Dortmund forward is expected to be one of the most talked-about names of the summer, especially as his club’s qualification for the next Champions League remains uncertain. Dortmund face a crucial match that could determine their European fate, and failure to qualify may influence Adeyemi’s future.

Adeyemi, who is 23 and has been open about his willingness to leave Germany, was already on Juventus’s radar last summer. At that time, the Italian club had reached a broad agreement with the player’s representatives, but negotiations broke down over Dortmund’s transfer demands. Napoli also pursued Adeyemi in January, reportedly agreeing to a €40 million deal with Dortmund, but the move collapsed when the player himself declined the transfer.

Strong Competition for Adeyemi

Juventus and Napoli remain in strong positions to sign Adeyemi, closely monitoring both the player’s intentions and Dortmund’s stance, especially as the German club’s European prospects become clearer. However, competition is fierce, with Chelsea also showing concrete interest in the forward. Adeyemi’s performances continue to attract attention: with 12 goals and 9 assists in 2,130 minutes played this season, he has directly contributed to a goal every 101 minutes, marking him as one of the most effective young players in Europe’s top leagues.
