Juventus have been eliminated from the Club World Cup after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the round of 16. Despite a strong performance, the Bianconeri were unable to progress further in the competition, following a heavy loss to Manchester City earlier.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports how Damien Comolli, Juventus’s General Manager, expressed both pride in the team’s effort and frustration over the early exit in his post-match comments to Mediaset and Dazn.
On the team’s future and transfer market plans, Comolli said:
“The core of the team is very good and that is where we need to start from. Of course, during the transfer windows we will look to improve further. There will be time to focus on that. The players need to believe that the group is very strong. As for Vlahovic, I don’t want to talk about individual cases.”
Looking ahead, Comolli emphasized the need for growth and resilience:
“We learned from this experience today; it’s a learning process. We must try to improve the team, relearn how to win, and bring the club back to a position where it can do so. We need to assure the fans that we will do more. We must convince ourselves that we can win.”
