Juventus Hold Further Transfer Summit at Continassa: Spalletti’s Key Requests

Start

Juventus continue to work quietly but steadily on transfer business as the club aim to strengthen Luciano Spalletti’s squad ahead of the second half of the season. While no deals have yet been concluded, discussions remain ongoing behind the scenes at Continassa, where the pace of negotiations has been described as “steady rather than rushed”. With domestic fixtures piling up and the Champions League knockout phase on the horizon, the atmosphere within the club is calm but focused.

A Meeting of Minds

According to reports from Tuttosport (as quoted by IlBianconero), a significant meeting took place on Friday between Juventus’ technical staff and senior management. Among those present were Damien Comolli and sporting director Marco Ottolini, who listened closely to Spalletti’s latest requests. Although the discussions did not reveal any dramatic surprises, they reinforced the manager’s priorities within the context of the club’s financial constraints.

Spalletti once again underlined his desire for two specific additions: a backup option to support Kenan Yildiz in attack – with Federico Chiesa still viewed as a key piece – and a versatile midfielder reminiscent of Weston McKennie’s profile. For now, Spalletti prefers to wait for an update on Dusan Vlahovic’s fitness before deciding whether an out-and-out striker is needed, with that call expected after the upcoming match against Cagliari.

Only Add Quality

One point was made crystal clear during the summit: Juventus will only move for players who can genuinely raise the overall quality of the squad. The club is determined not to disrupt the balance that has gradually taken shape over recent weeks. Within this context, the name of Ruben Loftus-Cheek surfaced again as a potential target, though any deal would likely depend on a complex exchange involving Federico Gatti – a scenario currently viewed as difficult to execute but not entirely off the table.
