Juventus in Turmoil: Capello Criticizes Club Management and Defends Allegri

Capello

In the wake of Juventus’ decision to sack Thiago Motta and appoint Igor Tudor as their new head coach, former manager Fabio Capello has voiced his concerns about the club’s management. The Italian giants are now pinning their hopes on Tudor to secure a Champions League spot, which remains the only attainable objective for Vlahovic and his teammates this season.

Speaking to Italpress, Capello offered a scathing analysis of the situation at Juventus. The experienced coach and pundit questioned whether Motta should bear the full brunt of responsibility for the team’s poor performance.

“Do you think it’s all Thiago Motta’s fault? What about the sporting director? Remember what they did to Allegri?” Capello remarked, hinting at deeper issues within the club’s hierarchy. His comments seemed to point directly at Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ Managing Director of Football, who was responsible for building the squad during the summer and winter transfer windows.

Capello’s mention of Allegri refers to the events of the previous season when, despite a rollercoaster campaign that ended with Champions League qualification and a Coppa Italia victory, the Tuscan manager was shown the door.

The former Real Madrid and England coach didn’t mince his words, suggesting that the root of Juventus’ problems lies within the club itself. “It seems to me that the problem is now in the company,” Capello stated, implying that the frequent changes in coaching staff might be symptomatic of more profound issues at the organizational level.
